My first full day in Colorado I went to Red Rock Park in Morrison. The natural amphitheater there is very well known and many famous people have played there. Additionally there were wonderful rock formations that were in various shades of red depending how the light was hitting them. I liked this view because of the color of the rock formations with some in light, some in shade and some in the distance. Throw in the valley down below and it was an easy choice for what I wanted to paint.
