Painted from a photograph I took, it was in Venice, of a street muician playing the accordian. It was our last day there and we were rushing to get to a last museum. So at a brisk pace we passed musician, then I turned around and looked back at her. The scene was great, arches, the aging buildings, foot bridge over the canal, and the woman with her dyed red hair matching the accordian and the long shadow pointing back to her from the tip basket.
